John D. Clark

John D. Clark is proud to help his clients in his solo law practice. Previously, he was a director with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. John’s law practice generally focuses in the areas of estate planning, trusts, probate, elder law, and business law.  

The North Canton native received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Kenyon College and his Juris Doctorate from Emory University where he was a member of the Emory Law Journal.  John began his legal career as an associate attorney at Day Ketterer LPA, following his law school internships with BellSouth, CNBC, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Federal Trade Commission.

John is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association where he is a member of the Elder Law and Probate Committees.  He is a lecturer for the Ohio State Bar Association and Area Agency on Aging on estate planning and probate topics.  He was awarded recognition as one of The Best Lawyers in America® through a prestigious peer review study. When he was younger, John was named one of Ohio Rising Stars (2006-2009) by Cincinnati Magazine and Ohio Super Lawyers® – Rising Stars Edition® and superlawyers.com.

John is a graduate of Leadership Stark County and is committed to supporting charitable organizations.  He completed two years as Director of Endowment for the YMCA of Greenville, South Carolina, where he focused on raising funds through planned giving. John is a board member for the Paul & Carol David YMCA as well as Light After Loss.  Also, he has been a Rotarian since 2003.   John, his wife Georgeann, and their children Amelia and Grant, are active in the Faith United Methodist Church.  John and his family also enjoy spending weekends at Willowdale Lake.
