Dee Sibert

I am a General Board Member of Light After Loss and ready to help in any way I can! I graduated with a Masters of Global Business Management and am currently a Legal Assistant at a local law office. I was introduced to Light After Loss when I wasn’t ready for therapy but needed support.

I became a survivor of suicide loss on September 25, 2020 when I lost my son, Ethan. Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first experience with suicide loss. Ethan lost one of his best friends to suicide in 2018. Several other students died by suicide the same year and we did all the things, had all the conversations, and felt confident Ethan was OK.

I was introduced to LaL through a local therapist and I reached out to Shannon. Ireceived the Survivor Sack but what I actually received was support and hope from a group that I never thought I’d need. I am still fairly new on this journey and my wish is that I can help others by being on the Board for LaL. I can’t wait to support the amazing people at Light After Loss and help our community. I am really excited for our new home, The Hope and Healing Center. I live in Perry Township with my husband, Matt and my son, Luc. In nicer weather, you can find me on my kayak and camping with friends and family.
